This programme is designed to prepare and train you to join this pastry and baking world of flavours. Our industry experienced chef trainers will kickstart your baking journey and immerse you in a kitchen enviorment. This entry certificate course covers both the service and hands-on modules required be it at your workplace or even at the comfort of your home.

The industry recognized ceritifcation which will be given after the completion of this course can be the stepping stone for your career as a pastry chef or to bring your bakes to a whole new level.

This is a SkillsFuture accredited course and SkillsFuture credits eligible,  up to 90% course fee subsidy.

To achieve a full qualification, learners must successfully attain competency in all the following modules:-

• Prepare Pastry Mis-en-Place
• Project a Positive and Professional Image
• Receive and Store Products
• Maintain Safe & Secure Work Environment
• Food Safety Course Level 1
• Pastry Preparation 1 - Make Tarts and Short-crust Pastry
• Pastry Preparation 1 - Make Cakes
• Pastry Preparation 1 - Make Muffins and Scones

Upon successful completion of this qualifi cation, the learner will acquire the competencies required to increase employability in the pastry and baking industry. They will be able to operate in a standardisedpastry and baking work context and apply their procedural knowledge to successfully perform assigned work tasks.

Union Training Assistance Programme (UTAP) 

• NTUC members enjoy 50% unfunded course fee support for up to $250 each year (or up to $500 for NTUC members aged 40 years old and above) when you sign up for courses supported under UTAP (Union Training Assistance Programme). Entry Requirements:

• ACI does not accept trainees under 16 years of age. 
• Education : Minimum Lower Secondary education and above, WPLN level 4 or equivalent 
• Language : Basic Proficiency in Written and Spoken English
• All applicants are required to attend a preview session before being accepted into the course. This will be done prior to course commencement date.
• Admission is subject to submission of the required supporting documents and the minimum headcount to start a class.
• Trainees are required to purchase a starter kit which includes the uniform, safety boots and tools set.
• There will be theory and practical assessments for all WSQ courses.
• Trainees are required to clean up kitchen after class.
